Design Statement

When designing this vacation website, I chose a simple and modern design style to enhance the user's browsing experience. For the homepage, I chose an image of Tokyo's night scene as the background image, which has strong visual appeal and recognition. For fonts, I chose Times New Roman, Merriweather, and Hind. Times New Roman and Merriweather are used for titles, which can effectively grab the user's attention. The body part uses a softer and clearer Hind, which is convenient for long-term reading and improves the readability of the content. At the same time, the text position and size are also carefully set so that users can quickly understand the content and maintain interest in the page, especially in terms of mobile and desktop adaptation, ensuring that users of different screen sizes can get a consistent experience.

The color palette is mainly composed of tranquil light green and white, with some dark elements such as dark brown footer and navigation bar. This color scheme not only maintains the professionalism of the design, but also brings a calm and comfortable visual effect, which is very suitable for displaying travel-related content. Green as the main color not only symbolizes trust and security, but also is closely related to the theme of travel and exploration. The distinction of background colors of each part helps guide the user's eyes to the important content, while bringing a sense of visual hierarchy through contrast, making the page look less monotonous.

In terms of interactive design, the button design uses contrasting colors and adds slight shadows and rounded corners, making the buttons more visually clickable. We place the main buttons in the core of the page and keep them the same size, which enhances the convenience of user operation. At the same time, in order to improve the user experience, a hover effect is added to the button, allowing users to feel delicate feedback during the interaction. The selection of images focuses on showing the unique scenery and cultural characteristics of the tourist destination. All pictures are processed to adapt to screens of different resolutions to ensure a balance between loading speed and visual effects and enhance the user's immersive experience.
